August Lober's 2019 Final Mock Draft, Washington and Green Bay trade up.

Draft day is finally here! Thank god, three weeks of watching film, going over combine videos, making a big board, reading into injury reports, and making two mocks a day for a week straight and its finally here.

I like to think of draft day as the greatest climax a story can have. Since the season has ended, fans have been scrolling big boards, mock drafts, and highlight tapes looking for their team's next star. The month of April is filled with mock drafts, projections, and player comparisons. All the suspense has been slowly building into three days in April.

I'm more anxious then most people and my team has already has their first round draft pick. So in honor of that here is the Dallas Cowboys 2019 first round selection.. Amari Cooper. WR. Alabama

Some notes about this mock *

TRADE! - A trade I believe will happen.

TRADE! - The other end of a trade I believe will happen.

     >   - A real trade that has already been made.

Now onto the mock.....

     1.)  Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray / QB / Oklahoma

Personally I would take Nick Bosa or look to trade back here but the Cardinals seem set on Murray. New coaching staffs almost always want "their guy" at QB and Kyler Murray's scrambling ability, and arm talent will bring a lot of excitement to the Cards. If Arizona doesn't trade Josh Rosen this weekend look for them to hold onto him for a while. They know his value and could wait till a team is more desperate in season.

 2.)  San Francisco 49ers
Nick Bosa / EDGE / Ohio State

The 49ers war room erupts as Murray's name is announced. Not only is Nick Bosa the best pass rusher in this draft, he is the best player in this draft. Bosa is head and shoulders above any pass rushers the 49ers have, and is an instant starter.

 3.)  New York Jets
Josh Allen / EDGE / Kentucky

While Quinnen Williams is the best player available when the Jets are on the board, when they turn in their card, it will read Josh Allen. There will be plenty of DT talent on day two, while the elite pass rushing talent might be gone before the 1st round is over.

4.) TRADE! Washington Redskins
Dwayne Haskins / QB / Ohio State

Raiders: Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden are trying to build "their" team. Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper are gone and its time to rebuild. And how do they do it? By trading back and picking up Washington's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks (&maybe more). That leaves them that gives them at least 6 picks in the first 3 rounds.

Redskins: The Redskins push all their chips into the middle of the table betting on Dwayne Haskins. I believe as long as the Redskins don't rush him along, and let him learn behind a veteran like Case Keenum, he can become a great QB.

 5.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Quinnen Williams / DT / Alabama

After the trade is announced the Bucs have a decision to make. Get the best ILB to replace Kwon Alexander or get the best DT in the draft to replace an aging Gerald McCoy (who they should trade to the Cowboys). I think overall Quinnen Williams is the better player and the guy being dubbed the next Aaron Donald.

6.) New York Giants
Devin White / LB / LSU

After the Redskins move up and take Haskins, the Giants simply take the best player available and its a good one. If you like great linebacker play, and love good tackling, just throw on White's film and enjoy.

7.) TRADE! Green Bay Packers
Devin Bush / LB / Michigan

As soon as the Buccaneers pass on Devin White, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst is going to be on the phone will the Jacksonville Jaguars war room. They desperately need help and ILB and after Devin White is drafted, the Packers can't let the Lions get on the clock. Bush has elite speed for an ILB and could be the star of the a revamped Packers defense in 2019.

8.) Detroit Lions
Noah Fant / TE / Iowa

At this point the Lions have a ton of options. I'm sure they will be receiving trade calls from a number of teams looking to move up, but I see them sticking here at 8 and getting a great pass catching threat in Noah Fant. Fant is a highly athletic TE that even sometimes lined up in the slot for Iowa. He will be a great option for Matthew Stafford.

9.) Buffalo Bills
Jawaan Taylor / RT / Florida

A lot of people are predicting the Bills trading down here but they desperately need help on the offensive line, and I see them having their pick of any big nasty on the board. To me this pick is between Florida's Jawaan Taylor and Alabama's Jonah Williams. I believe they go with Taylor because of his domination in the run game. Being a former offensive lineman myself, Taylor's tape is just awesome to watch. If he can get his hands on somebodys chest..... Game Over.

10.) Denver Broncos
Drew Lock / QB / Missouri

Almost identical to the previous two selections the Broncos will have a ton of options here at 10, but they get the future QB of the Rockies here in Drew Lock. Lock's college numbers are all time stuff and he did it in the SEC, but how will that translate to the NFL? He will be in a good position being able to learn behind a vet in Joe Flacco and the Broncos will have time to build around him.

11.) Cincinnati Bengals
Montez Sweat / EDGE / Mississippi State

Montez Sweat possesses the type of athletic and pass rushing ability that would be the best in most draft classes. Due to this draft being so top heavy with edge rushers, Sweat falls out of the top 10, but the lands in the lap of the Bengals who desperately need a game changer off the edge.

12.) TRADE! Jacksonville Jaguars
TJ Hockenson / TE / Iowa

The Jaguars were wise to move back and now feel even better about it, as they get the player or at least the position they would have drafted at 7th overall and a couple picks later on in the weekend to boot. Many people are predicting offensive line for the Jags, but they desperately need help at tight end. Hockenson is a complete tight end and he reminds me of a young more athletic Jason Witten.

13.) Miami Dolphins
Jonah Williams / OL / Alabama

I’m sure that Dolphins’ fans would love to see their team nab Murray, Haskins, or Lock but I just don’t think it’s reasonable unless they move up and I don’t think they should. Jonah Williams has the potential to be a top 5 player in this draft class and they’re not selecting him but stealing him at 13th overall.

14.) Atlanta Falcons
Ed Oliver / DT / Houston

Even as I sit here filling out this mock, I don't feel great about Oliver slipping all the way to 14th overall, but I could definitely see it happening. Oliver didn't dominate as much as he did in his sophomore season and a couple of sideline outburst didn't look great. One thing everybody knows about Oliver is that the talent is there. The Falcons get a steal here at 14.

15.) TRADE! Oakland Raiders
Rashan Gary / EDGE / Michigan

Rashan Gary is a complete DE. He is long, athletic, has the ability to rush the passer and stop the run. He also plays with a high motor which HC Jon Gruden will love. If the Raiders pull this off, the Black Hole should be going bananas.

16.) Carolina Panthers
Andre Dillard / LT / Washington State

Carolina could go in many directions with this pick. The sensible pick is Andre Dillard. He is an athletic pass blocking left tackle. His arm measurement isn't ideal, but his feet make up for it. He doesn't really get beat around the edge, or at all while in pass protection. He also excels at getting to the second level in a zone scheme, which Riverboat Ron will love

17.) CLE > New York Giants
Christian Wilkins / DT / Clemson

Wilkins at 17 is a steal!!, and one the Giants will gladly take. I've seen Wilkins as high as 8th overall on some big boards. He is a dynamic interior pass rusher, and has great pursuit.

18.)  Minnesota Vikings
      Chris Lindstrom / G / Boston College

This isn't going to be a sexy pick in many Vikings' fans minds, but "how can you have any pudding, if you don't eat your meat?". This pick is perfect for the Vikings, Lindstrom is an athletic guard, who excels at pulling and picking up blitzers in pass protection. For the Vikings to be successful, Kirk Cousins has to be upright, and Chris Lindstrom could play a huge role in that happening.

19.) Tennessee Titans
Brian Burns / OLB / Florida State

Burns is a super athlete who has a great first step off the ball. In college he could beat a lot of tackles with speed, at the next level he'll need to develop more consistent pass rushing moves. He won't have to look far for help, as his new HC Mike Vrabel had 57 career sacks.

20.) Pittsburgh Steelers
Byron Murphy / CB / Washington

If the Steelers went Greedy Williams or Deandre Baker here it wouldn't surprise me. I'm betting on the Steelers seeing what I see, and that is a college corner with NFL level awareness and great ball hawking ability.

21.) Seattle Seahawks
Clelin Ferrell / EDGE / Clemson

The Seahawks just traded away their best pass rusher in Frank Clark and they have to address that need with this pick. Clelin Ferrell understands how to use his hands effectively rushing the passer, but he'll need to work on run defense at the next level.

22.) Baltimore Ravens
DK Metcalf / WR / Ole Miss

The Ravens need to find good receivers in the draft, because no free agent WR is going to want to play in that offense. I'm not confident in Lamar Jackson's deep ball ability, but a receiver with the ability to take the top off the defense never hurts. It could open up short to mid range throws for Jackson.

23.) Houston Texans
Cody Ford / OL / Oklahoma

The main goal of this draft for the Texans should be to finding an offensive lineman to help keep Deshaun Watson upright. Cody Ford played RT in college but I feel he fits better as a guard in the NFL. Ford is a great value at 23rd overall.

24.) CHI > Oakland Raiders
Deandre Baker / CB / Georgia

Deandre Baker's name isn't being talked about as much as it should. I believe his the best all-around DB in this draft. He isn't as long as Greedy Williams, but he tackles much better and he isn't as instinctive as Byron Murphy, but he is a much better athlete.

25.) Philadelphia Eagles
Greedy Williams / CB / LSU

The Eagles war room is elated to get Greedy Williams here. They'll have to work on his tackling, but the athleticism and cover skills are definitely there, solid value here at 25.

26.) Indianapolis Colts
Marquise Brown / WR / Oklahoma

So you want to get yourself a Tyreek Hill? Well here he is. Brown possess some incredible in game speed. He blast off the line and when the ball is in his hands, he's a threat to score.

27.) DAL > Oakland Raiders
Irv Smith Jr. / TE / Alabama

While I could definitely could see the Raiders trading this pick, Irv Smith Jr. would be a great replacement after the loss of the Raiders #1 target last year, Jared Cook. Irv Smith is an all-around TE, with his best attribute being his catching ability, dude has some serious natural stickum.

28.) Los Angeles Chargers
Jeffery Simmons / DT / Mississippi State

If it wasn't for a torn ACL Simmons probably would've gone top 15. He is unlikely to play in 2019, but its a great future investment for the Chargers.

29.)   KC > Seattle Seahawks
    N'Keal Harry / WR / Arizona State

The Seahawks just signed Russell Wilson to a record contract and what better way to help their franchise QB then to give him a 6-3, 230 lb. target? N'Keal Harry is big body receiver that excels at going up for jump balls.

30.) NO > Green Bay Packers
Dalton Risner / RT / Kansas State

Packers right tackle Brian Bulaga is 30 years old and nearing the end of his career. Dalton Risner doesn't posses ideal arm length at right tackle, but he's quick enough to get into position. He'll take some time to come along, but the Packers have a good core of lineman right now that can get him where he needs to be.

31.) Los Angeles Rams
    Garrett Bradbury / OG/C /North Carolina State

The Rams have a glaring hole at left guard after the departure of Rodger Saffold. This pick will either be Bradbury or Erik McCoy. I would choose Bradbury due to his athleticism, experience, and his ability to understand what defenses are trying to do.

32.) New England Patriots
AJ Brown / WR / Ole Miss

The Patriots have a ton of options here and they have a history of trading out of this spot, but AJ Brown is built for Josh McDaniels' offense. Just short of 6-1, with great lateral quickness and route running. He'll have to work hard to understand the game at the NFL level, but where else would he rather be to do that than the Death Star.
